ImageThanksgiving Comes From Being Rooted In Christ – What is the source of your heart of thankfulness?  It comes from where you have your roots, or as ‘THE MIRROR’ translation says  “Just like the roots of a tree, draw your sustenance and strength from him”.  Sometimes we find ourselves putting our root tentacles in places that will never nourish us, in fact, it could become very toxic and even lead to death!  Negativity, bad news, etc, dwelling on things that do not sustain a healthy soul need to be avoided…and it is all for your good.  I hope you are encouraged by today’s message.

last week we dug into John 15, where a portion of this text has often been used to club people into submission or else ‘they will get ‘cut off’ from Christ” and lose their salvation.  Today we continue to dispel the myth that this text has anything to do with ‘salvation’…….instead…this entire text is about ‘fruit bearing’….  Even the concept of the ‘pruned’ parts being burned up has good news….enjoy getting your mind renewed by seeing a MUCH BETTER understanding behind this powerful text!

How do we trust in God when the Storms of life come our way.  Maybe we can learn from those who have gone before us.  Perhaps we need to stop listening to the voices of those who don’t reflect the Love of God.  Disasters have been called ‘an act of god’ but the only act of God in a disaster is his love.  Love is an ‘Act Of God”….and it shows up through people caring for and helping other people.  Enjoy this encouraging message as we find ‘light’ in the middle of darkness.

Making A Difference – In A Culture Obsessed With “selfies”, YOUTUBE stardom, & ‘being the next Idol’

Trying to make a mark in this world with ulterior motives, trying to make yourself look good, get the promotion by manipulating the process or people is not the way to live true life.   Stop looking for the BIG impact, instead learn to listen to the voice of light and life within you to initiate ‘plays or conversations’ that will impact someone’s life!  It is in the everyday activities that our UNION with Christ will make an impact whether we plan for it or not.  If we listen and wait, we will enjoy the journey of participating in the great dance (the dance of love and relationship within the Trinity).  Enjoy this practical and encouraging message!

It is amazing to see so many individuals ‘trying’ to become ‘The new breakthrough star’ on Facebook, YouTube, small business, online ministry, etc. The hunger is not a bad thing, but each person really does need to have an honest look at what their motives are. Most often, they are selfish and they are really trying to make themselves feel like they are a ‘somebody’ when deep down they feel like a ‘nobody’.

Today we zoom in a bit closer at our motives for wanting to make a difference, but also at the source how we actually make an impact. The good news is this, you are already making a difference and you have within you the power to impact people and the future each day. Take a look at this message and see if you can hear the difference between ‘the worlds’ method vs how Christ has already equipped us.

Stressing to impressStressing To Make A Difference – In A Culture Obsessed with Stardom and Heroes.   It is amazing to see so many individuals ‘trying’ to become ‘The new breakthrough star’ on Facebook, YouTube, small business, online ministry, etc.  The hunger is not a bad thing, but each person really does need to have an honest look at what their motives are.  Most often, they are selfish and they are really trying to make themselves feel like they are a ‘somebody’ when deep down they feel like a ‘nobody’.  Today we look at this topic and try to remind you first, who you really are, and…how God seems to use us….it may not be quite what you thought!  What I’m discovering is that in humility, love all humans around you, respect them, and treat all as your equal….this is a wonderful expression of the love of Christ already in you.
