While our ‘earthly fathers’ tend to model the best attributes they can, many have fallen short.  The perfect model to look to is our heavenly Father.  Jesus came to reveal His Father!  Over and over again, he points to the connection he Has with His Father and his disciples just didn’t get it.

 It is easy to become distracted with ‘correct theology’, or discovering ‘a deeper and more mystical’ understanding of certain texts in Scripture.  It can be extremely enjoyable!  It can however, distract us from actually ‘living out the Faith within us’.  We can easily forget some of the key expressions of faith we have been called to ‘live out’.    The disciples and later ‘The people of the way’ or ‘Christians’ didn’t have ‘Bible Studies’ and ‘Greek & Hebrew’ classes.  They were excited to live out the simplicity of what Jesus taught, and what the disciples taught.  Perhaps there is value in revisiting those things that gave the early church so much hope and conviction.

Part 3 (final): The story leading us to Easter was great but, what follows is so much better.  As you keep reading and peeling back the layers of what happened, you can’t help but get more and more excited by what you hear. 

Most ‘Believers’ don’t know all that Christ has done for them, to them, and in them.  The idea of ‘Salvation’ may have been some ‘external agreement’ that only activates when the right terms are agreed upon.  What if the good news was so much better and more beautiful than that?
