Maybe it is not so much about learning ‘new’ teaching as it is understanding and applying what we have already been taught. What if we celebrated the value of ‘being reminded’ instead of trying to learn new things. This is where we may find ‘hope’ when things are not going well, as well as when things are going well. If we open our eyes to see, we will be stunned at the overflowing grace that has ‘already’ been communicated to us. We will see it in the hurting, the outcast, those with less, those who have lost, those who have forgiven much, and in those who grieve. We may even see it in the words on pages in ‘sacred texts’. Enjoy!
TODAY: We look at Chapter 7, and the ‘Judge Not’ phrase that is often used as a way to repel criticism. What if it isn’t referring that as much as it is expressing how we are to live with one another? .

Today’s program is from a ‘live’ interview I participated in last night. Sheri Pallas hosts a weekly program called “Fireside Creators” and has a host of guests on a variety of topics. This particular conversation was on ‘Why forgiveness is Important’, Anna Garcia also joined in the conversation. The topic of forgiveness is a huge one, it is very much like a wheel with many spokes that crisscross eachother. I hope you enjoy this conversation we had.
Today, here in Canada, we celebrate ‘Thanksgiving’. May we learn how to ‘stop and ponder’ our life, give thanks for all we have. May we give thanks for all the relationships that have brought us to the place we are right now. May we ponder ‘gratitude’ one more moment more than we did last year. May gratitude become the heartbeat of our soul.

WHERE TO WATCH THE NEW SERIES “The Gospel & Soul Health”:
Bruce Wauchope presents his “The Gospel and Soul Health” . This 2023 series, Bruce introduces the family of the Trinity; Dad, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit, that will, to quote Dr Kruger, “Astonish your Hearts, Blow your Minds” and “Create ignited conversation” and a deeper awareness of Christ in you.
3 volumes, a total of 59 videos.
VOLUME 1: The Gospel of Union ( Structured around John 14:20)
VOLUME 2: Christian Fish in Greek Soup.
VOLUME 3: Soul Health. ( How the soul heals)
Healing flows from the person and message of Jesus Christ and the series outlines some of this flow.
Most of the messages are 20 to 30 minutes bit size lengths. You will find them sequential, intuitive bringing to life the reality of Christ in us, which was planned from before the foundation of the world.
Bruce’s understanding is in sync with Irenaeus, Hilary of Poitiers, St Athanasius, and St Cyril of Alexandria, and the work T.F. Torrance, JB Torrance and Dr C. Baxter Kruger.
In the Gospel and Soul Health Series by Dr Bruce Wauchope, he lays out the non-negotiables of the Gospel. These were definitively laid out in the ancient church. In other words, it was these points that were delivered to us by the Apostles and were held for generations of the ecclesia.
1. The Love of, in and between Father, Son and Spirit and their indivisible union and Oneness.
2. The pre-creation purpose: In the overflowing love of the Father, Son and Spirit we were made to be Sons and Daughters of Father Son and Spirit; to share in their Love and Life, in their Eternal Life
3. The Word is the One in whom this love story will be completed, and as always, He is never without the Father and the Spirit. He is the Creator: The Mediator – our High Priest. He is our only understanding of God as He is the Only Person of the Godhead to become human.
4. We are made “in” and “held together” by the Word who gives “Life.” Union is given and separation is not possible. We do not possess life of ourselves; we are sustained by the Word.
5. In His Incarnation Christ is fully God and fully Man;
All of our thinking references are from Christ ie Christological.
6. Due to His union with us, whatever happens to Him happens to us. This is the core of the Gospel.
7. Father, Word and Spirit will “pick up the tab” to complete their Love Story. We are forgiven before creation. They will do what is required for our inclusion in Their life. Thus, inclusion and forgiveness are give before creation and They will do what is needed to enable us to participate in their relationships. The freedom in the universe requires this approach.
8. The New Covenant defines the relationship and status we have with Father Son and Spirit. This must not be broken in our walking with each other. It has three critical clauses.

TODAY: We visit the ‘heartbeat’ of the sermon on the mount. Thanks to Richard Murray and his summary of Matthew 5:38-48, it seems easier to understand what is going on in this particular portion of the text. Enjoy!!

The topic of ‘divorce’ has been a contentious one in many church circles. Some say there is no room for divorce because ‘the bible plainly says so.’ Others have taken a much deeper look, investigating language translations, cultural context, Jewish history etc… Maybe there is a ‘more hope-filled’ perspective on this topic? Enjoy this meaningful conversation as we explore what Matthew 5 could mean on the topic.
