Those who had a hope in a violent Jesus, were thrilled to see or hear of Jesus turning over tables.  Finally permission to be vengeful.  However, Jesus modelled and taught the exact opposite of what they were hoping for.  He constantly stole the thunder from those hoping for power and superiority.  He turned over ‘rolls’, he turned over ‘faulty concepts of his Father’, he turned hearts towards love and humility.  This Easter, ‘look for’ those subtle messages in the big storylines.  You will find humility, grace and love.  Enjoy!!
