Day 41: We Are A New Creation

10609464_10204581119755642_5492019849004054165_nToday is a good day.  Today is the day we celebrate the New Covenant that we are under.  (*which means the old covenant is ‘obsolete’ and we are not to pay any attention to it. Heb. 8:13)  Today we also celebrate the new creations we are in Christ.  The Bible says that we have been made brand new through Christ. This is a fact, not a feeling.  When we begin out of the reality of who we really are in Christ, our lives will experience a transformation that will affect us and those around us for eternity.

Start your day today with some mind renewing truths, read them SLOWLY and carefully, there is a LOT to take in here:

2 Corinthians 5:17-19 (NASB)  17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.18 Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation,19 namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

2 Corinthians 5:17  (Mirrior Bible) In the light of your co-inclusion in his death and resurrection, whoever you thought you were before, in Christ you are a brand new person! The old ways of seeing yourself and everyone else are over. Acquaint yourself with the new!

Ephesians 2 – But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.

Galatians 2:20 (NASB) 20 I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, (*by the faith OF the Son of God, is a more accurate translation) who loved me and gave Himself up for me.

Galatians 2:20 (The Mirror Bible)  2:20  The terms, co-crucified and co-alive define me now. Christ in me and I in him! (Jn 14:20) His sacrificial love is evidence of his persuasion of my righteousness!  (The life that I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the son of God. He endorses my innocence. To live by the faith of the son of God means to live in the consciousness of the same sonship that Jesus enjoys.)

Colossians 3:9-10 (The Mirror Bible)  3:9  That old life was a lie, foreign to our design! Those garments of disguise are now thoroughly stripped off us in our understanding of our union with Christ in his death and resurrection. We are no longer obliged to live under the identity and rule of the robes we wore before, neither are we cheating anyone through false pretensions. (The garments an actor would wear define his part in the play but cannot define him.) 3:10  We stand fully identified in the new creation renewed in knowledge according to the pattern of the exact image of our Creator.

THANK YOU for joining me on this past 40 day journey of recognizing the presence of Christ in us.  It is so easy to get distracted and recognize the Truth that is already in us.  I hope you were encouraged as you read along, I hope you enjoyed the questions and the video links i provided.  I hope to do something each week now (not every day, yikes, this has been hard!! haha).

Enjoy your Easter Sunday and as the Holy Spirit draws your attention towards anything, listen, go with it, follow it, respond to Him and watch what He will do in and through you!

Let’s wrap up this awesome 40 day journey with this final and  incredible video by Matt Maher:
